Set as Source

Correction of Synchronization Plan

Synchronization plans generated by ZSync are usually optimal. However, sometimes the plan must be adjusted. For instance, when you have modified some file but later decided to restore the old version of it. The Set as source command is provided just for that:

ForceSrc.gif (1845 bytes)

By this command, ZSync sets the selected cell as a source and generates a new synchronization plan for that object.

Both an individual cell and the entire point can be set as a source. For instance, this can be useful when working with a backup copy: usually, changes are transmitted from the project to the backup copy, but one day you may have to undo the latest changes; then you will set the backup copy as the source.

Selecting Source During Conflicts

If ZSync cannot select the source automatically, that means there is a conflict between the two points. In such case you should select the source manually. This may happen, for instance, if a file has changed in the both points. Or – like on the image below – after comparing the two points the program discovered that one of them contains folder, and the other one contains file with the same name:

ForceSrc2.gif (2022 bytes)
